Forbes Travel Guide grants Vancouver hotel five stars

Forbes Travel Guide has included Rosewood Hotel Georgia in its 2018 list. The downtown Vancouver hotel has upheld this rating since 2013. Using more than 900 criteria, the Forbes Travel Guide Global Star Ratings choose the hotels that will be included in its annual publication.

“Forbes Travel Guide’s recognition of Rosewood Hotel Georgia’s unparalleled service, ambience and elegance in all areas, from wellness to cuisine, reaffirms our position as the gold standard for luxury hotels not only in Canada, but on a global scale as well,” says Philip Meyer, managing director of Rosewood Hotel Georgia.

The hotel combines the grandeur of the Roaring Twenties with contemporary design and comfort. It first opened in 1927 as Hotel Georgia. In 2011, after a full restoration, the historic property re-opened as Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Notable guests included Elvis Presley, Nat "King" Cole, Katharine Hepburn and British royalty.

“These properties, the largest and most global group in the company’s history, achieve an impeccable standard of excellence in hospitality, underscoring our overall mission of positively contributing to the international tourism industry as well as individual hotel experience,” said Gerard J. Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide.
