Designer Of The Day: Jenny Sandberg

1. Name : My name is Jenny Sandberg. I design for and operate Hawks Ave.
2. Hometown : I was raised in the Northland of BC, Prince George. Now living in the concrete jungle that is Vancouver
3. School : Graduated in 2004 from Blanche MacDonald, Fashion Design Program.
4. Who would you like to wear your designs? I would like to dress Rockers n’ Rollers the world over!
5. What inspired you to enter the fashion industry? I was born creative, and clothing design came naturally to me. I am inspired and amazed by nature, and brought back to reality by city life. Both show themselves in my designs.
6. What is your favorite fabric? My favorite fabric is either leather or denim… I also love jersey. Keep it as natural as possible, so organic or sustainable fibers.
7. What is the theme of your show? The theme of Spring 10 is a secret… but it’s going to rock n’roll down the runway on Thursday November 5th!!
8. If one of your outfits was a drink, what would you call it? Hawks Ave. isn’t so much a drink… I would say it’s a double shot of Tequila.
9. Do you have any advice for aspiring fashion designers? My advice for aspiring designers is work hard: it’s not what you do but how it’s done.
