Pinoy ‘Jukebox Queen’ shining in Sin City

Filipino "Jukebox Queen" Imelda Papin once again proved her singing prowess as she performed before a sold-out crowd at the Orleans Showroom in Las Vegas recently.

The singer captivated her audience with songs from her new album titled Voice of The Heart and her original Pinoy hits like Isang Linggong Pag-Ibig, Bakit and Kung Liligaya Ka Sa Piling Ng Iba.


"I am so happy this 2008 is a better year for me, because I recorded my latest album Voice of the Heart in the States, and this under 618 International Records and being distributed by Warner Music Group all over the U.S. and Canada," Papin said.


The singer’s fans and supporters who watched her show were really impressed by her powerful voice and stamina.


"Imelda Papin a very good singer the voice is full, whole, whole, whole buo ang boses niya she never get tired," Bella Flores said.


Dr. Philip Paleracio added, "Once again, Imelda Papin has proven herself as one of the most talented artist, every Filipino can be very proud of her."


Special guest in her show was Grammy and Tony Award winner Ron Dante known for his hit Sugar, Sugar. According to Dante it was his first time to work with Papin.


"Well I’m so honoured that she wants me to be in her show, she is one of my favourite singers . . . and she called me because she likes my song Sugar, Sugar. She said she grew up on that she knows it and she wants me to sing it for her fans. So I hope to make her fans, my fans at some point but Imelda is a wonderful star and I’m very happy to be on the show with her," Dante said.


Papin is now a regular performer and headlines The Orleans Showroom. She is definitely making waves in America’s Sin City.
