What is the best part of your job?
As a director, I have a role and voice in setting the strategic direction of the institute. I incorporate my CMA strategic leadership education as well as my work experience to influence the corporate strategy of the organization.
What are some of the challenges you currently face at work?
Recruitment of qualified candidates who also fit well with the corporate culture and values of the organization.
How is this position different from other jobs you have had?
My input reaches beyond the Finance/Accounting department and into corporate level strategy.

Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University and a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
Why did you choose to pursue a CMA?
The strategic leadership program aligned with the direction I wanted to take my career. It provided both professional and personal development that took my career to levels beyond my expectations.

I see myself growing professionally as a senior manager. I will continue to pursue my philosophy of lifelong learning through both formal and hands on work. I hope to continue to mentor and develop others.
