The high-energy 175 HP 4-cylinder engine on the 2.5 S model uses friction-reducing technology to achieve smoothness and performance, while maintaining up to 6.0L/100 km fuel efficiency. Alternatively, the 3.5 S and 3.5 SR models boast 270 horsepower with Nissan’s legendary VQ 3.5-litre V6 engine. The Continuously Variable Transmission (standard on 3.5 S and 3.5 SR, optional on 2.5 S) is a virtually gearless transmission system that makes shift shock and gear hunting a thing of the past, delivering a smooth stream of continuous power at all times.

When your car is full of passengers, the Electronic Brake force Distribution senses the extra weight and sends additional force to the rear brakes, while the Brake Override Technology and Anti-locking Braking System help to slow down your vehicle and bring it to safe stop in an emergency by overriding accelerator input and preventing wheel lockup.

Altima is available with 16-inch (optional on 2.5 S) or 17-inch (standard on 3.5 SR) aluminum-alloy wheels or 16-inch steel wheels with covers (2.5 S, 3.5 S).
