Imagine taking a little bit of “Saturday Night Live”, mixing it with some ol’ skool “In Living Colour”, throwing in a scoop of ethnic, sprinkling a little singing n’ dancing, and topping it off with a whole lot of Bollywood. You’re going to get something so tasty it’ll make you scream….“I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken!!”
South Asian Arts is once again teaming up with Vancouver’s only South Asian sketch comedy group - Bollywood Shenanigans. This talented collective of actors, dancers and writers have appeared in film, television, commercials and other stage shows. Together they have shared the success of ten SOLD OUT performances for “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Chicken! – Best Of Show” and “Butter Chicken Reloaded”.
This time, Munish Sharma, Leena Manro, Jason Vaisvila, Kulveer Taggar, Aga Postawska and Sandhya Sharma are back with brand new shenanigans and a brand new show aptly titled, “The Butter Chicken Is Back…Alright!” A show in which for the first time ever, “Surrey Jack” makes his much anticipated debut appearance!
Filled with all new hilarious comedy skits, “The Butter Chicken Is Back…Alright!” will run for two consecutive weekends.
