Justin Lapena

Occupation and/or Company: Self represented actor currently working on Dogfight The Musical with the Semper Fi Collective and a Truss builder at Suntruss Building Systems.
Years of experience: I am a 2014 graduate of Capilano University's Musical Theatre Program. Its been almost exactly two years since I've finished the program.
Personal & professional philosophy: 
"Talent is fine it opens doors but kindness and hard work will always take you farther."

What is the highlight of your work? 
The highlight is knowing that a simple story told genuinely can change a life. I am an actor today because I was moved so much by a local play I saw when I was a teenager that I decided that if I could move people as profoundly as I felt from that performance by  performing myself then that's what I needed to do with my life. We are in the business of giving, harnessing and receiving inspiration and that's pretty wonderful.

Future goals: 
I want to continue to hone my craft and to be a part of theatrical work across Canada while making a living from it and keeping my personal passion for it alive and well.
